“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Socialist Party presidential candidate Norman Thomas

Sasha and Malia observe Pearl Harbor Day by what else, eating Japanese

The Obama daughters, Sasha and Malia, are too good to go to public schools with the DC riff raff that their father's administration has abandoned at the behest of the awful teachers' union. Instead they fritter away their days at the Sidwell Friends School, reserved for the very rich who their father hypocritically vilifies in every speech.

Today is the 70th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese. In observance, Sidwell Friends is serving Asian food for lunch. Coincidence? I think not.

No doubt the first daughters are getting a history lesson today about how America was evil and had it coming, as we left the Japanese no choice but to attack us because of our policy in the Pacific. If the democrats had their way, no actual history would be taught, just a regurgitation of the leftist narrative that America is inherently bad and we deserve to be taken down a notch by anybody who wants to do it.

The fact that you even posted this is petty. They ate chicken teryaki 70 years after Pearl Harbor. Oooohhh, big deal. Grow up. . .

Sunshine, I have nothing against Japanese food, but serving it specifically on Pearl Harbor Day would be like schools serving lamb falafels and baba ghanoush on every anniversary of 9/11. You think that's OK? Is that respectful or a slap in the face of the dead?

I don't know what they are being taught about Pearl Harbor but this is what they should be learning.

"Based on a good summary of the up-to-date research the author [George Victor, "The Pearl Harbor Myth: Rethinking the Unthinkable"], who is an approving admirer of Roosevelt, concludes that Roosevelt deliberately provoked the attack and that he and his key military and administrative advisers clearly knew, well in advance, that the Japanese were going to attack both Pearl Harbor and the Philippines.

"Roosevelt wanted to get into the European War but he had been unsuccessful in provoking Germany; therefore, he considered the sacrifice of Pearl Harbor and the Philippines as the best way to get into the European War through the back door of Japan."

Isaac, what do you think about our "provoking" them by making it clear that we wouldn't allow them to take whatever natural resources they could plunder from her neighbors to the south, thus forcing them into attacking us?

I'm not saying I wouldn't put it past Roosevelt to allow the attack, but I wonder how much advance warning we had....hours perhaps? Still, the Japs were going to attack us regardless, so that's sort of a pointless exercise.

You really do worship war, don't you, Ed. Isn't it time you quit calling yourself a Christian? No, seriously.

Ed said...

"worship war"? What are you talking about? I don't worship war, but unlike you, I believe there are things worth going to war over. You Ron Paul people think that there are no valid reasons for war short of a direct attack on the mainland, if then.

How can you say I worship war when I've been opposed to the Iraq war, Afghanistan war, Libyan war, etc.?

Isaac A. Nussbaum said...

@Ed "How can you say...?

Here is how I can say it.

I shared information with you which shows that Roosevelt knowingly sacrificed the men and women of the Pearl in order to trick the American people into supporting his goal of entering the war.

Your response was to fly to the defense of the monster responsible for that lie and for the senseless loss of life at Pearl Harbor and, later, in Europe and Asia.

ed said...

How much advance warning did he, Roosevelt have? If he had months, weeks, or many days then I yeild to your point, assuming there's proof of this foreknowledge.

Isaac A. Nussbaum said...

This could have been a watershed moment for you, Ed.

If Roosevelt goaded and manipulated the Japanese into attacking America, and if he had enough warning to save the men and women of the Pearl but didn't, then the Dystopians have been playing you for a patsy all of your life.

And if what they told you about WWII is a lie, about what else might they have lied to you?

So what did you do in the face of information of that magnitude? Did you even make a cursory investigation? No.

"Baaaa!"

So virtually all historians have colluded over 70 years to pull the wool over the eyes of the world regarding the events leading up to, and including the attack on Pearl? Is this your point, Isaac?

If there were any validity to this, don't you think the politically correct class in this country would delight in shouting from the roof tops that America deserved to be attacked and our own President allowed it?

I mean the media said the same thing about Bush and 9/11. Do you believe them too?

Hundreds of voices, one of which appears below, have tried (in vain) to tell you, Ed. You simply refused to listen to them, just as you refuse to listen to them now.

"For nearly 50 years, the world has believed President Franklin D. Roosevelt's declaration that the Pearl Harbor attack was a completely unexpected assault on a neutral nation. [The documentary] Sacrifice at Pearl Harbor tells another, hidden story - using actual recording of intercepted diplomatic communications, declassified government documents, archival footage and interviews with diplomats and spies from around the world. We now know that intelligence operatives from the US and three Allied nations monitored the Japanese fleet's progress on its deadly mission to Oahu in late 1941. Yet neither Admiral Kimmel nor General Short received a word of warning that might have allowed them to avert the sacrifice of 4,000 American casualties [who died] in [a period of] less than 90 minutes."
