“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Socialist Party presidential candidate Norman Thomas

Election Day in America

Be sure to get off your lazy asses and vote today. I know it's trouble and the lines can be long and you'd rather go home and watch DWTS as the results come in and the news-channel punditry kicks into overdrive with predictions and analysis, but you can't really complain and whine about how miserable you are and how the country is going to hell in a hand basket if you don't participate in the process, even if you believe your one vote doesn't count.

If your ballot is anything like mine, there were, in addition to President and 1 congressional vote, a ton of district judge elections and we had 11 state constitutional amendment measures to vote on. Local voting is where you can make a real difference even if your state overall is solidly red or solidly blue.

So get out there and do your job today.

I did not vote. I intend never to vote again.

"How does it become a man to behave toward this American government to-day? I answer that he cannot without disgrace be associated with it.... What I have to do is to see, at any rate, that I do not lend myself to the wrong which I condemn." ~Thoreau

What he said.

I cannot fault you Isaac for any of that statement. Going Galt, in a political sense, is looking like more of a valid option for lots of people this morning.
