“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Rand Paul's filibuster was a watershed moment for a possible third political party

While the old guard GOP guys wined and dined with Obama, Rand Paul and his Tea Party friends defended the Constitution from Obama stooges like Eric Holder and John Brennan, by filibustering into the night, the nomination to the CIA of Brennan.

Earlier Eric Holder, in Brennan's defense, could not say definitively that a President did not have the Constitutional authority to kill by drone and American citizen on American soil without due process. Brennan would effectively be an Obama rubber stamp at the CIA, which is why Paul was correct to oppose his nomination.

By standing up for the Constitution by filibuster, Rand Paul left the old-school GOP in his dust, and hopefully in the distbin of history, and established himself as the putative leader of a new third party(yet to be named) that may be electorally viable in the next few elections.
