“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Taxpayers on the hook for $2,520 for Bradley Manning to become Chelsea.....meh

Bradley Manning was the soldier who stole millions of embarrassing government documents and handed them over to Julian Assange at Wikileaks. He is currently serving a 35 year sentence at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas but is eligible for parole in like 7 years.
Apparently Bradley now self-identifies as a women named Chelsea and through the ACLU has sued the Army to provide him with hormones to begin his transformation into the unattractive woman he was meant to be.
If he wants to become a chick, that's fine with me, but obviously it is idiotic that taxpayers should fork over money for this when he can do it himself when he gets out. It's only about $30/month(I just Googled it) so even an ex-con should be able to handle that out of the income he makes washing dishes at the truck-stop diner down by the Interstate. Figuring $30/month for 7 years until parole, that comes to $2,520 for the hormones and as a percentage of his upkeep at Leavenworth, it's a drop in the bucket, but that's not the point.
Based on this pic of him in drag I have a suggestion for Chelsea, have that facial feminization surgery and Adam's apple removed.....you'll be prettier. Just a helpful thought.

I think justice would be served if his actions had been charged as treason in time of war with a punishment of execution. But, that day is long gone, and far worse spies have skated before Bradley.

I realize the documents that were published by Wikileaks were damning and embarrassing, but did they directly render aid to our terrorist enemies? I don't remember. And wouldn't that have to be the standard of "treason during war"?

They included information, to my best recall, that allowed the identification and targeting of Iraqi patriots who had allied with the U. S.

So, yes.
